Computer Labs

Information Technology & Communications maintains and supports various open and academic labs on Campus.  Each lab is equipped with computers and high-speed laser printers. Microsoft Office 2007 is installed on all computers.

  Tomlinson Library 120 Main Campus Lab.  For use by all students. Additional software is installed as requested by faculty to support course work. Same hours as the Library
Tomlinson Library 3rd Floor Overflow for Main Campus Lab Same hours as the Library
Residence Halls For use by residence hall residents. MAVcard is required for access to labs in Monument, Grand Mesa, North Avenue and Bunting Avenue 24 X 7 when the residence hall is open

Main Computer Lab Usage Guidelines

  • Report any computer system irregularities or problems to the Lab Assistant
  • Obscene language on the computer system is prohibited. Any obscene language found on the system will be deleted immediately. Files with obscene names will be deleted.
  • Game playing is prohibited.
  • Save your work in your account or on your F Drive. Do not save your work on the personal computer's hard disk or c drive.
  • Set your cell phone to ring silently, and exit the lab before speaking on the phone.
  • Users are allowed to reserve one computer for one hour at a time.  If you are on a computer that is reserved, you must yield the computer.
  • Report any suspicious activity to the IT Help Desk personnel in the back office of the main open computer lab in Library 120.
  • Be considerate to the Lab Assistants.  Lab Assistants are present to remedy problems related to the general operation of the lab.  Do not expect them to solve your homework problems or tutor you.
  • Expect the Lab Assistants to be polite and courteous.  Complaints of compliments about Lab Assistants should be made to the IT Help Desk Personnel in the office on the main open computer lab in Library 120.
  • The computer lab equipment is for use by faculty, staff, and students only.
  • The computer lab equipment is to be used for academic use only.
