Every year we welcome a new class of around 1,900 students. They've all chosen Colorado Mesa University for different reasons, but each one is eager to learn, grow and achieve. We provide the best instruction, the right tools, and the perfect setting to help make that happen. In the 86-year history of our school there's never been a more exciting time to attend. The institution has always been a place of growth and development and just recently the school underwent a change of status and name from Mesa State College to Colorado Mesa University. We strongly believe this new name will position our institution for success while recognizing our strong history and commitment to excellence.
Colorado Mesa University offers a rigorous and diverse curriculum, and in our small school setting, we deliver a personal, hands-on education.
But an outstanding education is only one part of what makes college here such a rewarding experience. We offer more than 70 clubs and organizations that help to round out the college experience. When it comes to sports, we have 23 NCAA Division II intercollegiate teams that compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Together with our club sports and intramurals, and a campus that sits in the middle of some of the best recreation in the west, Colorado Mesa University is one of the most active schools around.
To help make a college education possible for everyone, we continue to offer some of the lowest tuition and fees anywhere, and financial aid and scholarships are available.
