AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Available to AICPA members who are full-time undergraduate or graduate students.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours, including 6 hours in accounting.

 

American Association of University Women (AAUW Education Foundation)

American Chemical Society Scholars Program

Contact: American Chemical Society website for information and application.

Criteria:

  • Applicant must be African American, American Indian, or Hispanic/Latino.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident.
  • Must attend full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Chemistry or Science.
  • Class rank of Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
  • Must also be majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology.

 

American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Must be an outstanding female accounting student.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (excluding remedial classes).
  • Must have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting I.
  • Must have completed 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) with a declared major in Accounting.
  • Must demonstrate financial need, provide 3 Letters of Recommendation, and transcripts.

 

Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Available to one of the following:
    • A nursing student who has an immediate family member who is serving or has served in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
    • A nursing student who plans to enter the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
    • A nursing student who has previously served in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
    • An Army Nurse Corps officer enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program who is not funded by the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
    • An Army enlisted soldier in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve, who is working toward a baccalaureate degree in nursing and is not funded by the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.

ASCO Numatics Scholarship

Value:  $5000

Criteria:

  • Class rank of Junior, Senior, Graduate student.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a legal U.S. resedent.
  • Must be pursuing a career in manufacturing, processing or other industrial automation related disciplines, particularly in fluid control and fluid power technologies.
  • Must attend full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).

 

CFMA Tim Smith Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Must be a legal resident of the State of Colorado.
  • Class rank of Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at a state supported higher education institution in Colorado.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program with a declared major in the area of accounting, finance, or other financial management study.
  • Must intend to pursue a career with the State of Colorado.

 

Colorado Authors' League Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Must attend full-time (at least 12 credits per semester) in an accredited public or private Colorado institution of higher education.
  • Must be a legal Colorado resident.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Must have completed at least 12 semester hours of undergraduate study.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

Colorado Women's Education Foundation Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Available to non-traditional female students (25 years or older).
  • Must be a legal U.S. citizen and have resided in Colorado for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding application.
  • Must attend an educational institution of higher learning or vocational training located and accredited in Colorado.
  • Must demonstrate financial need, scholastic ability, leadership skills, and career goals.

Application deadlines: May 31 and Oct 31

 

Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants

Education Foundation Scholarships

Value:  $2,500

Criteria:

  • Must be a legal or permanent U.S. resident and legally living and studying in the State of Colorado.
  • Must be an accounting major and completed at least 6 semester hours/8 quarter hours of accounting courses.
  • Must carry at least 6 semester hours/8 quarter hours per semester/quarter at an institution with an accredited accounting program.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Applications are accepted twice yearly, for the fall and spring semester.

Deadline:  June 1.

 

County Sheriffs of Colorado Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Available to any permanent resident of a Colorado county participating in the Honorary Membership Program of County Sheriffs of Colorado (this excludes residents from Pitkin county).
  • Must be enrolled in, or applying to , a vocational training program or institution of higher learning in the state of Colorado.
  • Available to part-time (at least 6 semester credits) or full-time (at least 12 semester credits) students.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0.

Denver Delta Kappa Gamma Society Scholarship

Applications available in the CMU Financial Aid Office.

Value:  $1,500

Criteria:

  • Available to a female student majoring in Education and aspiring to be a teacher.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Selection will also be based upon creative potentiality, strength of character, evidence of leadership, emotional maturity and stability.

Denver Well Logging Society (DWLS) Scholarships & Grants

  • Must attend a recognized institution full-time (minimun of 12 credit hours per semester).
  • Must be majoring in a course of studey directly related to or bearing a reasonable relationship to the science of oil, gas, or other mineral formation evaluation.

The Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association

Criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Alien with U.S. Permanent Resident Status/ Alien Registration Number.
  • Must be currently enrolled in state-approved schools of nursing or pre-nursing in associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, generic doctorate, and generic master's programs.
  • Not available for graduate study unless it is for a first degree in nursing.

Grand Valley Power Mechanical Engineering Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Must reside in a home served by Grand Valley Power.
  • Must be enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Program or have a letter of acceptance from Colorado Mesa University in the Mechanical Engineering Program.
  • Must provide two Letters of Recommendation from non-relatives.
  • Must provide a 500-word essay describing the career path chosen and why.

John Gyles Education Awards

Information:

  • Available to students in both Canada and the United States.
  • Awards are available to both male and female students for all areas of post secondary study.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.7 is required.
  • Academic ability and financial need are considered in the selection process.

Gates Family Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS)

Criteria:

  • Must have immigrated to the US with HIAS assistance.
  • Must currently be enrolled in a U.S. college, university, or technical school; show evidence of being enrolled in school for at least one year (two semesters) prior to applying for a HIAS scholarship .
  • Must be enrolled in in program ending with an associate's, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree; or technical degrees and certificates.

  • This scholarship is open to students nationwide who are currently enrolled or accepted in a professional building or construction trade program. 

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

  • Scholarships are available to children of a Marine on active duty; or in the Reserve or of a former Marine or Marine Reservist who has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or who was killed while in the service of our country; or of an active duty, reserve, or former U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving or has served, with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mensa Education & Research Foundation Scholarship Essay Contest

Criteria:

  • Must currently be a resident of a participating American Mensa Local Group's area.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning.
  • Must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals.

Deadline:  Opens on September 15th, closes on January 15th.

 

Pinnacol Foundation Scholarships

Criteria:

  • Be the natural, adopted, step-child or full dependent of a worker killed or seriously injured in a compensable work-related accident during the course and scope of employment with a Colorado-based employer and entitled to receive benefits under the Colorado Workers’ Compensation Act.
  • Must be between the ages of 16 and 25 at the time of application.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or be a high school senior if applying for undergraduate or vocational training.
  • Must have a college degree or be a college senior if applying for graduate school.
  • Submit at least one letter of recommendation, a personal essay and their most current transcripts.
  • Submit documentation of their parents’ accident.

Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates Collegiate Cycling Scholarship

James B. Warner Scholarship

Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a member (at least a student member) of AWWA. (Available at www.awwa.org).
  • Must be a student who will be at least a junior in the next fall term, pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Fields of study applicable for the scholarship include, but are not limited to: water, water utility management, and water resources.
  • Funds may be used for tuition, books, or fees.

Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest

  • This contest is designed to challenge college students to analyze the urgent ethical issues confronting them in today's complex world. Students are encouraged to write thought-provoking personal essays that raise questions, single out issues and are rational arguments for ethical action.
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate Junior or Senior registered at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.

 

ICRI Rocky Mountain Chapter Scholarship Award
