Business Department Scholarships

Colorado Mesa University Academic (Colorado) Scholarship - Business
Value: Up to $1,000
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Kenneth D. and Darrell Ball Scholarship
Value: $500
Criteria:
- Available to a non-traditional students (25 years of age or older).
- Student may be either part-time (6 or more credits) or full-time (12 or more credits).
- Must be enrolled in a Business major.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Must demostrate financial need.
Tilman and Pat Bishop Scholarship
Value: $1000
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Must be a
graduate from a Mesa County (Colorado) School District #51 high school.
- Must be a Mesa County (Colorado) resident.
- Class rank of Junior or Senior.
- Must be enrolled in a Business major.
Explanation:
Recipient is encouraged, but not required,
to serve an internship with the Colorado State Legislature, preferably
interning with the State Senator from the Senatorial District serving
Mesa County, Colorado. The primary purpose of this program is to
encourage participation in the field of political science and to
foster an interest in state government.
Brownson Memorial Leadership Scholarship - Business
Value: $3500
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Must be enrolled in a Business major.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
Kristopher B. Buescher Memorial Scholarship
Value: In-state tuition & fees (maximum 12 credit hours per semester )
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Must be majoring in
Business and Professional Studies.
- Minimum institutional GPA
of 2.5.
- Preference given to students with a deceased
parent or sibling who might not be able to attend school without
scholarships.
Chadwick, Steinkirchner and Davis Scholarship
Value: $1000
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Must be majoring in Public Accounting.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must demonstrate financial need.
Enstrom Family Memorial Scholarship
Value: $500
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Class rank of Sophomore, Junior
or Senior.
- Must be majoring in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be a permanent resident of the Western Colorado.
Grand Junction Rotary Club Foundation - Walter E. Dalby Accounting Scholarship
Value: $500
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Class rank of Junior or Senior.
- Must be majoring Accounting.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be a permanent resident of Western Colorado
- Must demonstrate financial need.
Dalby, Wendland and Company Scholarship
Value: $800
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be majoring in Public Accounting.
Institute for Supply Management Scholarship
Value: $500
Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Class rank of Junior or Senior.
- Must be majoring
in Business.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Preference given to Colorado
and Utah residents, but any qualified student may apply.
Eide Bailly LLP Public Accounting Scholarship

Stanley E & Ruth M T Johnson Family Scholarship

- Must be enrolled in Construction Management (seeking a Bachelor of Science degree), or enrolled in the Nursing program (seeking an A.A.S. or RN degree ), or a member of the CMU golf team.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Landman/Energy Management Scholarship

- Must be a resident of State of Colorado (elibible for In-State tuition. Preference given to students from Westen slope of Colorado.

Criteria:
- Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
- Class rank of Junior or Senior.
- Must be majoring
in Business.
- Must be a Mesa County, Colorado resident.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must demonstate financial need

- Must be a minority woman enrolled in Business and Professional Studies majoring in Computer Information Systems.

Williams Scholarship (Landman)

- Applicants must submit an essay on "How Energy Affects Your Life".
- Applicants will also be interviewed by the scholarship committee.
