  • These scholarships are only available to students without a prior baccalaureate degree, unless otherwise noted.
  • All value $amounts are subject to change pending funds available.
  • Deadline for all scholarships unless otherwise noted: March 1

 

Colorado Mesa University Academic (Colorado) Scholarship - Natural Sciences and Mathematics

Value: Up to $1,000

Criteria:

  • Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

 

Aspinall-Paraho Scholarship

Value: $1,500

Criteria:

  • Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Must be majoring in any area of Biological Sceinces, Physical and Environmental Sciences, or Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics.
  • Must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

 

Bruce Dixson Scholar and Mentor Award

Explanation: This award provides a meaningful work/training experience between the Scholar (student) an

            Mentor  (supervising faculty member). The Scholar benefits financially and practically as he/she assists

            the Mentor in his/her teaching and research endeavors, and the Mentor benefits from the assistance.

Value: $2,000. Award may be continued until graduation of recipient if approved by the Department head.
Criteria:

  • Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Class rank of Junior. An outstanding Sophomore may be considered.
  • Must be enrolled in Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
  • Must demonstrate financial need and academic performance.

 

David M. Gardner Memorial Scholarship

Value: In-state tuition and fees (maximum of 12 credit hours per semester) plus $250 book allowance . May

            be continued if all criteria is met.
Criteria:

  • Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Class rank of Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
  • Must be a graduate of a Mesa County (Colorado) High School.
  • Must be majoring in any area of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5.


Goodwin Foundation Scholarship

Value: In-state tuition and fees (maximum of 12 credit hours per semester).
Criteria:

  • Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Class rank of Junior or Senior.
  • Must be majoring in any area of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Preference given to students financial need.

Edwin and Harriet Hawkins History of Mathematics Scholarship

Value: $1,000
Criteria:

  • Must attend Colorado Mesa University full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).
  • Must enrolled in the Spring math course, Math 380 History of Mathematics.

Melinda Golden Memorial Scholarship

  • Must be a female student majoring in Computer Science.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours completed.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
