Construction

New dorm complete for fall semester

Construction crews completed Wingate Hall in August in time for the fall 2016 semester. The dormitory, now open, is located just west of the Garfield Hall wing built a few years ago.

Ongoing Projects

Crews expect to complete construction for the Engineering Building in October 2017. Partial road closures on Elm Avenue east of Seventh Street begin October 6 and end January 2017. After completion, the new building will house CMU's civil and mechanical engineering programs.

Work continues on the Health Sciences Building. After the first phase is complete in October 2016, the building will include administrative offices, flex labs, new classrooms and new computer lab.

The Maverick Pavilion (Mav Pav) received a new tent structure and renovations. The renovated facility will include a new court and hard wood flooring on the eastern court. The project is expected to be completed in mid-October 2016.
