Michael Delaney, PhD, received his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky. and went on to earn his JD from Salmon Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University and his PhD in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati.
An assistant professor of criminology at Colorado Mesa University, Delaney teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Procedure, Juvenile Justice, American Court Systems, Criminal Law and Civil Liability for Law Enforcement and Corrections. His teaching philosophy weds theory with real world experience .
Delaney grew up in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, a suburb of Cincinnati. He has taught on the university level for almost three decades. He also practiced law from 1983 until 2008.
