Concentration: Studio Art

The BFA degree in Art with a concentration in Studio Art combines strong curriculum requirements in design, drawing, studio (either two or three-dimensional) and art history. Students will develop skills and aesthetic judgment in the materials, techniques and tools within drawing, painting, printmaking, fibers, ceramics or sculpture studio arts. Art History studies will engage students in historic and contemporary artists, art movements and styles. The degree culminates in a senior exhibition in the University Center Art Gallery and upon graduation students are prepared to pursue a career as an artisan or continue with graduate studies in art.
