Colorado Mesa University, in Grand Junction, Colorado is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience in a student-centered environment featuring small class sizes and a high level of student-faculty interaction. Founded in 1925, the institution has grown from a junior college enrolling 41 students to a vibrant university, of more than 8,900, offering a full-range of undergraduate programs and a growing number of graduate programs.

The John U. Tomlinson Library is the largest academic library between Salt Lake City and Denver. The library offers a wealth of information and provides many different services and resources to both the campus and the community. It is the mission of the library to support the information, instructional and research needs of the region.
Today, holdings in Tomlinson Library include 395,200 books; 59,300 journals; 30,500 e-books/documents; and more than 30 million items available through Prospector.

Athletics play a key role in the growth of our students and are an integral part of the university experience. Students are given the chance to attend or participate in a wide range of sports and athletic activities including a number of varsity and intramural sports. With more than 70 conference and regional titles, Colorado Mesa University gives student-athletes the opportunity to earn a degree while competing at a top Division II institution.

The Animation Concentration focuses on animation as an art form by means of creating images that come alive in two- and three-dimensional applications. The curriculum encompasses both traditional and digital animation skills, as well as storytelling, storyboarding, character design, illustration and Web design. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment as animator, storyboard artist, character designer, modeler, digital animator, computer artist, layout artist and Web designer.
