Advisor advising a student
Advising at student orientation

Advising Center

The primary mission of the Advising Center is to assist students in meeting their academic and career goals. We also offer a number of career and employment services to students, alumni, employers, and community members.

Academic Advising

Academic advising is available from two sources: the CMU Faculty and the Advising Center staff. Undeclared students are assigned to the Advising Center. Students who have chosen a major are assigned to a faculty advisor within the area of their major. All students are advised to meet with an advisor each semester before registration.
