Appropriately qualified high school students may register for classes through the University that are not replicated through the school district curriculum as allowed by the Colorado Concurrent Enrollment Act. High school students may access these courses in three distinct ways:
- Taking college courses delivered in participating high schools through Western Colorado Community College’s High School Scholars and Technical Scholars Programs;
- Enrolling in courses at one of Colorado Mesa University's campuses through the Early Scholars Program; or
- Participating in the ASCENT program, a special program that allows qualifying students to pursue college full-time while being counted as a high school student.
