               Transfer Student Information

  • CMU Program Sheets  Program sheets describe the requirements for each academic program.
  • CMU's Career Ladders This program structure minimizes loss of credit by linking 2- and 4-year

programs—a near seamless transfer for students and allows for stop-out to work, family issues, etc. Career ladder programs encourage continued education of community college students, and those programs awarding a Bachelor of Applied Science are especially attractive for students who have completed an Associate of Applied Science.  Programs currently offering a career ladder option are Business, Computer Information Systems, Construction Technology/Management, Criminal Justice, Graphic Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Nursing, Public Admin/Public Safety, and Radiologic Technology.  Please contact the appropriate academic department for more information.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) Programs While typically only the Associate of Arts (AA) and

Associate of Science (AS) degrees are transferable, CMU offers a baccalaureate degree in five majors that build on the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.  This degree is designed for employed students who seek professional career advancement but are in need of a baccalaureate degree.  The curriculum sequence builds on the technical major of the AAS and then fills out the remaining general education and baccalaureate major requirements. Currently, CMU offers the BAS in the following majors: Business, Computer Information Systems, Hospitality Management, Public Administration/Public Safety, and Radiologic Technology.
